Upgrade Your G8 Motor Mounts With BMR Suspension

When building a new car, the OEM tries to appeal to the masses. Therefore, they design new vehicles for a smooth quiet ride while using reliable but inexpensive parts. One particular area of a car that this problem is quite apparent is in the suspension. Manufacturers will use rubber bushings on suspension components and engine mounts because they are cheap and keep noise and vibration to a minimum. The problem with this solution is these rubber parts will allow excessive movement and deflection. Anytime that this happens, energy is wasted, causing the vehicle to be less efficient.

If you’re looking for less deflection and more performance out of your 2008-09 Pontiac G8, BMR Suspension has you covered. The company offers everything from bushing kits, upgraded suspension pieces to chassis upgrades for the car. BMR’s most recent offering for the G8 is a set of motor mounts in both polyurethane and a solid design.

Polyurethane Motor Mounts

While BMR’s polyurethane motor mounts for the G8 are designed to drastically reduce deflection over the factory rubber motor mounts, they will still isolate noise, vibration, and harness (NVH). With the new motor mounts, your G8 will offer improved throttle response, quicker reaction times, and precise shifts with cars with a manual transmission option.

The BMR Polyurethane and solid motor mounts are a bolt-In design that drastically reduces or completely eliminates deflection depending on the purchased part.

Solid Motor Mounts

If you’re looking to eliminate deflection entirely, then solid motor mounts should be installed. However, the solid billet aluminum bushings are designed for max-effort applications where NVH is not a concern.

All BMR Suspension motor mounts are designed to work with any power level with street performance, drag racing, and road racing in mind and are proudly made in the USA. For more information on these products and others for the G8, please visit bmrsuspension.com.
