You guys remember Jeff Bloch, A.K.A. Speedycop, right? He’s the brains behind that crazy upside down Camaro built for the 24 Hours of LeMons that we recently showed you. Bloch is definitely no rookie when it comes to building crazy machines – in fact, the Camaro isn’t the only wild vehicle he’s built. His other two vehicles, a 1956 Cessna plane/car and a Geo Metro limo, always tend to get dumbfounded and confused looks wherever they are driven, which is exactly what Bloch intended.
Bloch and his crew decided to take all three creations to Maryland International Raceway, conveniently located about 40 minutes from Bloch’s residence. Being Labor Day weekend, MIR wasn’t nearly as crowded as it usually is, so Bloch and his crew let the cars loose on the dragstrip.
In the video above, while the Camaro and Cessna line up at the tree, you can hear the announcer say, “Wow… this is probably going to be the most interesting drag race in MIR history,” and we couldn’t agree more. As the announcer couldn’t refrain from letting out a chuckle when the tree struck green, neither could we. It’s just too funny to see an upside down Camaro and a wingless Cessna battling it out down the strip.
The same goes for Bloch’s Geo Metro limo, one vehicle we thought we’d never see tripping the beams at a dragstrip. It is truly hilarious to see these cars line up at the Christmas tree, as they are built for reliability and fuel economy for the 24 Hours of LeMons and not for fast quarter mile times. However, it is great entertainment and we cannot wait to see what crazy creation Jeff Bloch whips up next.
