Vengenace Racing is no stranger to high horsepower, Corvettes, or burnouts. In fact, not so long ago we posted a video of them running a few Corvettes that were able to achieve titles as the fastest Vettes in their respective classes for top speed runs in the half mile.
They seem to have a skill and an obsession with squeezing the most performance possible out of their beloved Corvettes, and when it comes to power for a straight-line car, we say the more the merrier!
From their dyno (dynamometer) sheet, we can see that their 2015 Z06 cranked out, an earth pounding 585 hp and 617 lb-ft of torque to the rear wheels. Chevy’s website claims that the Z06 has equally matched horsepower and torque figures of 650, and with the results both being at a 10-percent or less loss, we’d have to assume Chevy is right on or even being coy with their claim.
There are a slew of negative comments listed under this video, as you might expect. After all most people wouldn’t take a $70,000+ car and do a burnout in the dealer’s lot period, much less before going through a bit of a break-in cycle.
That being said, we’ll be surprised if this car makes it through the month in its stock configuration so maybe he just wanted to give it a quick shake-down while the service bay was still in pushing distance.
After all, he’s just having fun, and isn’t what all of this is all about?
