There will always be some level of danger involved when photographing or filming any vehicle in motion, and more than one camera man from LSXMAG has found himself scrambling for safety when a race car gets a little loose on the track. Things can and will go wrong on occasion, and that is precisely why tracks put so much emphasis on safety.
But to intentionally put yourself in danger to catch a good shot is just plain lunacy. The cameraman in this video we came across on YouTube purposely and repeatedly places himself directly in harm’s way, with total disregard for his own well-being. The video features a driver throwing donuts in his 4th Gen Camaro in a wide open parking lot – well, wide open with the exception of his friend standing right in his way to shoot the video.
In the name of YouTube glory, the cameraman seems hell bent on risking life and limb for the closest possible shots of his friend’s hooning, and there are more than a few close calls as the SS whips around the parking lot to show off for the camera. One wrong move, and the title of this video would have ended up being, “Guy gets run over by his friend turning dounts.”
We are all for having fun in your car, but frankly, this kind of video disturbs us. Every car, regardless of its performance abilities, should be treated with a high level of respect, because all it takes is one mistake to seriously injure – or worse – kill you.
