If you ask any Corvette owner what is their least favorite aspect of their car, we’d be willing to bet dollars to donuts that most of them would say the interior. There gripes are legitimate; while GM managed to craft a world-class performance car in the C6 Corvette, the interior was bland, boring, and all-around unimpressive. The Corvette’s cockpit has been almost an afterthought in recent years… but that is all about to change
Today GM debuted the latest video trailer for the next-gen C7 Corvette. Titled “Craft”, this video deals exclusively with the interior of the 2014 Corvette, and how GM’s engineers have stepped up their game to combat well-deserved criticism.
The video is briefer than the others, and doesn’t really give us any new looks at either the inside or outside of the next Corvette. Rather, we’re treated to a voice over of Ryan Vaughn talking about the importance of the interior on the new Corvette, and how the cockpit affects our driving experience.
That is all well and good, but it’d be nice to see a bit more in the teaser rather than a slow-motion video of a sewing machine. We’re looking forward to an all-new interior on the Corvette, but this teaser video was a bit of a letdown to be honest. Hopefully the next teaser will ramp up the excitement more than this talk about honoring “the craft”.
