It’s hard to believe, but it’s been four years since the economic crisis that sent U.S. automakers to Washington asking for financial assistance. General Motors seemed to take the brunt of the force from the critics, partly because they needed the most cash, and partly because they are largest of the three. We’re fairly certain that every one of those thousands of GM employees who almost lost their jobs are very thankful this holiday season that they’re still working.
Now it’s time to give something back. This Christmas season, GM made an agreement with Santa Claus and his elves to help the good little boys and girls all over the world by giving them a new Camaro. GM employed the help of their robots, who are usually called upon to weld the bodies together to get this rather large order fulfilled. If it were only this easy to build a real car...
We have this exclusive, behind-the-scenes footage of GM robots and Santa’s elves handling their business with joy spread across their faces in the form of a smile. Santa couldn’t be left out of the action, either. He seems to have traded in his red 8 reindeer-powered sleigh in for something a little more powerful, like an LS3 V8. In this case, it’s a 2012 Camaro SS 45th Anniversary drop-top, which should make his rounds a little easier. We only hope we were good enough this year to have a new ZL1 left under our tree.
Happy Holidays!
