The Cadillac CTS-V is already a sinewed brute and the very definition of “Super Sedan” right from the factory, competing against some of the best high dollar luxury sedans the world has to offer, such as the Audi RS6, BMW M5, and Mercedes AMG. There’s no doubt that the V’s 640 horsepower supercharged LT4 makes for quite a beast of a car, even in its stock incarnation.
But, for those of us that just can’t leave a stock car alone– how do we improve on an already incredible platform? It already outperforms most cars on the street and many of it’s competitors, so what more is there to want? Well, as Jeremy Clarkson would say: “More power!”
All that god-given twist wasn’t enough for the owner of this ’16, either, but he knew how to get just the right amount of power in there. Sure, 700+ horsepower may seem like little much, but in our opinion, that may just be the sweet spot for a CTS-V. That’s why he turned to Vengeance Racing to add a little ump to an already potent package.
After the addition of a Metco 9.1-inch lower pulley, American Racing 1 7/8-inch primary long tube headers, an Alkycontrol dual-nozzle meth injection kit with remote reservoir, a custom 4-inch cold air intake, a Vengeance Racing E85 sensor kit, and a Jokerz Performance ported LT4 supercharger, the owner opted to have Vengeance Racing wrap up the tune. This specific car went from the stock 640 horsepower at the crank to a perfect 717 to the wheels and a brutal 749 lb-ft of torque. That is a lot of bang for what most would consider just a bolt-on car and means it is just as happy idling around the parking lot of the nearest shopping mall as it is tearing up the quarter mile.
Quite honestly, this is a setup we definitely wouldn’t mind having.
