Do you have a V6 sports car? While these are usually seen as the little sisters of the big-boy V8s, they can be just as fun. I know what most of you are thinking- V8s are definitely more fun than V6s. However, as two recent YouTube videos show, a V6 Camaro car can be utilized for just as much afternoon shenanigans as a LT1 or LS1.
The first YouTube video we ran across shows the owner of a V6 Camaro doing donuts in a parking lot. While videos like this surface on FaceTube regularly, we took notice to this one because of the work that went into shooting the video. The owner attached what looks to be a semi-professional camera rig on the front of his car. This allowed him to shoot the car doing donuts from several different angles. While the video is a bit repetitive, it gives you a taste of what can be done in a V6 Camaro (and how a rig shot and good composition can make even dull cars more interesting).
The other video shows the same owner doing a burnout in his garage. The note with the video states that the owner did the burnout to break in his new tires. Although the burnout doesn’t last very long, it does make a considerable amount of smoke and leave piles of rubber dust.
How do we know this car isn’t a de-badged SS or Z28? Turn up your speakers when you watch, and tell us if you’ve ever heard an 8-cylinder Chevy that sounds like a farm tractor with a muffler full of buckshot. Although power and performance are sacrificed when you choose two fewer cylinders, these videos go to show that fun doesn’t necessarily have to be sacrificed as well. Congratulations Zero2242– we’re impressed.
