Apparently the world of Hungarian drifting needs a strong pick-me-up, and Hell Energy Drink has just the thing to get it buzzing. This YouTube video produced by the company gives us a stimulating introduction to what they call an “old dream” come true. Meet the Hell Energy 2010 Camaro SS drift car.
The video opens on Hungarian drift aficionado Tamas “Puci” Varga giving us his mellow philosophy on driving, while suiting up in his “Hell” race gear. Things start to perk-up when we finally get a look at the black 2010 Camaro SS as it pulls up to the gate of an abandoned Soviet air base. After an energetic blast down the runway, the Hell engineer pulls up and hands over the keys to Puci – the real test pilot of this American RWD rocket ship. Puci jumps in and stomps on the pedal, rocking the car harder than a sugared-up raver on a Friday night. The following sequence of slow, sweeping shots over the Camaro’s sleek black body is jolted to life by rapid shots of the tear down and fabrication work done on the car.
A press release on the company’s website states that Hell chose to use the Camaro because it is a “unique” car in Europe, and they wanted something that would “dazzle motorsport fans with a racing car that is [as] outstanding in its appearance as [it is] in its performance.” The press release only gives us vague details about the modifications to the body and suspension. However they do give us power numbers, claiming the supercharged LS3 makes over 640hp. That should be more than enough to give the rear tires all the “Hell” they can handle.
