If you’re rocking a heavy-duty truck, you’re going to want some heavy-duty horsepower, right? Well, Whipple Superchargers is here to make that happen with its new supercharger system for the GM LT 6.6L direct injected engine-equipped 2020-2022 2500 and 3500 trucks.
GM’s L8T-based engine that can be found in the 2500 and 3500 heavy-duty trucks already makes good power, but the 2500HD Supercharger system will help it crank out over 500 horsepower. This new supercharger uses Whipple’s intercooled twin-screw design that features a 112mm front feed inlet.
The incoming air is kept cool by Whipple’s massive oversized air-to-water bar-and-plate intercooler. This system uses billet 6061-T6 tanks that are outfitted with high-density fins to increase overall cooling capacity. The intercooled bypass system improves vehicle acceleration and has less than 1 horsepower of loss during cruising for outstanding fuel economy.
Whipple has also incorporated a giant dual-pass heat exchanger into this supercharger system. The heat exchanger creates better recovery time and consistently cool temperatures no matter what type of driving or towing you’re doing. You don’t have to worry about any EPA restrictions on this new 2500HD Supercharger system since it’s 50-state legal.
The kits come with HP Tuners RDT flash tool, VCM scanner for data logging, and tire/axle adjustment. Each system is available in a standard textured black finish or nearly any custom color option, allowing you to customize the engine compartment for that show finish. PCM requires Global A E93 HP Tuner Upgrade Service (upgrade voucher included with complete kit). Global A support is only available at this time until HPT releases Global B support.
