Our good friends at Chevy Performance’s TheBLOCK.com found and photographed this gem recently at the Milford Proving Grounds, America’s oldest dedicated automotive testing facility. The hybrid of a Rockford-era Pontiac Trans-Am and a Corvette, this vehicle is clearly a labor of love for the owner – whatever you may think about the overall end result, you can’t fault the details on this show-quality build.

The question (besides “why,” of course) is what you’d call this car. TheBLOCK seems to favor “Trans-Vette” over “Cor-Am,” but we’re inclined to think that for a custom car this intricately executed, the owner has probably given it a female name…
