When perusing the auctions on Insurance Auto Auctions, there’s hardly ever a vehicle that looks or performs to an acceptable level. Most are simply in some form of automotive triage, having been labeled “inoperable,” “runs and drives,” or “starts.” It pains us to say it, but by the looks of things, this 2006 C6 has gone and joined the choir invisible, to quote John Cleese.

As if it weren’t painfully obvious enough, the Corvette is indeed inoperable. A severe impact to the passenger front has done quite a number on the body and internals: crooked wheel, cracked hood, ripped-up bumper, misplaced wiring, the list goes on and on. The battery hanging outside of the hole is the icing on this miserable cake.
Further back, a severe crack has appeared on the passenger rear body panel, and the hatch won’t shut properly anymore. The interior is a mess as well, with the driver’s airbag sitting deflated, its purpose served and the driver long gone by this point, hopefully uninjured.
The 6.0-liter LS2 V8 got scrambled around, its valve covers twisted, intake tube contorted, and all manner of odds and ends bundled up or disconnected. The fuse box may as well be a Lite Brite at this point, for all the good it does.
With a fixed-up value of $24,907 and estimated repair cost of $30,000, the car is most certainly totaled and not heading back to the highway anytime soon, if it ever does again. What would you do if this was your ride?
