It’s one thing to know a lot of information, but a knowledgeable person who knows the subject well can also break down that information to be understood by anyone. For those willing to take the plunge, the Edelbrock Pro Flo 4+ works just as well for engine swaps!

The experts at Edelbrock have engineered the new Pro Flo 4+ Electronic Fuel Injection system into the simplest of terms to make utilizing all the benefits of today’s EFI a plug-and-play installation. At the heart of the system is a highly capable EFI controller that allows you to get your engine up and running quickly and also allows you to adjust the calibration further to optimize both performance and fuel economy.

All Pro Flo 4+ harnesses are appropriately labeled and terminated. Then, simply click the harnesses together or to the appropriate sensors or engine control, and you’re all set! Powerful Engines Require Powerful Controllers

Pro Flo 4+ is ideally suited to those wanting to swap a modern EFI-controlled engine into their classic muscle car, street rod, truck, or hot rod. Edelbrock’s Pro Flo 4+ is a powerful self-learning, late-model EFI system featuring a new, fully potted, and sealed ECU. It comes pre-loaded with 25 dyno-tuned calibrations to cover a variety of popular applications. In addition, the modular design of the Pro Flo 4+ system allows you to purchase the necessary pre-terminated harnesses specific to your application.

At the heart of the Pro Flo 4+ EFI is a powerful ECU. All harnesses are designed to click together to complete the system.

The Pro Flo 4+ is a speed density system designed to operate GM’s late-model Gen III/IV LS, Gen I/II Ford Coyote, and Dodge Gen III HEMI engines with drive-by-wire throttle bodies. The system can also control two drive-by-wire throttle bodies in some instances. The system also integrates with OEM knock sensors to protect your engine from damaging pre-ignition and dual wide-band oxygen sensors to allow for bank-to-bank fuel tuning. With the Pro Flo 4+ EFI, the ECU receives feedback from the wide-band oxygen sensors (when running in closed-loop operation) to constantly adjust the fueling calibration as you drive the vehicle.

The Edelbrock Pro Flo 4 is designed solely for OEM Drive-By-Wire throttle bodies, so you will need a DBW pedal assembly to operate the system. Pro Flo 4+ works with most intake manifolds implementing OEM gold and silver blade, GM 4-bolt DBW throttle bodies, and can support dual DBW throttle bodies with Edelbrock’s Cross Ram LS3 intake manifold.

There are also full sensor readouts via gauges displayed on your device through Edelbrock’s E-Tuner 4+ App. Troubleshooting is also greatly simplified by showing any current or stored diagnostic codes during operation. The system also implements CAN Communication protocol for communicating with other ancillary devices like digital dashes or Edelbrock’s TC transmission controller for drive train control.

Pro Flo 4+ features easy to follow labeling throughout the harness, and the main harness includes a dedicated fuse block for protection.

To further optimize your engine’s performance and fuel economy, adjustments can be quickly made to the calibration via the hand-held device. For example, you wirelessly make changes to the calibration’s fuel mixture, ignition curve, specified air/fuel ratios, idle speed, acceleration fueling, cooling fan operation, and the rev-limiter.

Edelbrock’s Pro Flo 4+ allows you to select the correct harnesses during purchase. When your system arrives, installing the pre-terminated harnesses onto your application is as simple as clicking the harnesses together. In addition, the system includes step-by-step color instructions for easy installation using common hand tools.

The E-Tuner 4+ App is available to download for Android and Apple iOS-powered mobile devices and can interface with the ECU via Bluetooth communication. The E-Tuner 4+ App includes a Setup Wizard to select the proper calibration for your engine quickly. Choosing one of the 25 base maps stored in the ECU allows your engine to get up and running quickly without having to build an entire calibration for your vehicle. Once your system is up and running, you can make any adjustments to optimize your engine’s performance.

Simple, Self-Shifting Setup

The Edelbrock TC Transmission Controller is a standalone transmission controller designed to work with Edelbrock’s Pro-Flo 4 and Pro-Flo 4+ EFI systems. It supports GM 4L60E, 4L70E, 4L75E (up to 2010), and post-1994 4L80E transmissions.

Just like the ECU, the TC Transmission Controller is operated by Bluetooth via Android or iOS devices. No software, laptop, or tuning experience is necessary. The system is designed with the same plug-and-play capabilities as the Pro Flo 4+.

Edelbrock’s TC Tuner software features base calibrations and the capability to fully customize the tune for your transmission, including over-shift points, shift firmness, shift speed, torque converter lock-up, line pressure, speed calibration, and more.
