We’ve all been there. Waiting in a line of traffic resembling a three or four-row parking lot that goes on for miles. No one is immune from this kind of treatment, but there are always those, like this C8 Corvette owner, who feel they are entitled to a speedy resolution. Instagram user Jack Pressley Bond, AKA jbond007shaken_not_stirred shot this video as he was waiting in one of those arduous lines of traffic somewhere along our nation’s highway system.
I don’t blame anyone for taking an exit ramp in self-defense against lingering automotive gridlock, or even folks who use those “For emergency use only” turnarounds to get going in the other direction. In this video, there’s a lot more going on, as drivers start driving in the opposite direction of the flow of traffic to get to an area where they can bypass the guardrail and drive through the median. Who hasn’t seen this done before? But, this video clearly shows why you may want to think twice about doing that in your C8 Corvette.
We’re sure the owner will be explaining to his insurance and the repair shop owner all about the C8’s blind spots. He’ll have a receipt to help him remember to check them more often as well! The kicker to all this is the person recording this video states that traffic started moving again just a few minutes after he took this video! Try and do the math of what the hourly rate would be for this short-sighted lack of patience! Makes an oil change at the dealership quite the bargain if you think about it!
