It’s no secret that Cadillac has been mounting an historic bid in F1 competition. General Motors, with help from TWG Motorsports, is building a ground-up operation that includes facilities in both the UK and the US. Earlier this year, the entity completed a successful shakedown of its first car, the MAC-26, and it seems the spirit of that innovation is already making an impact on production vehicles.

26 for ‘26

On the eve of the Crypto .com Miami Grand Prix 2026, Cadillac has unveiled a special edition of its most special car. Limited to just 26 units sold in Canada and the United States, the CT5-V Blackwing F1 Collector Series was designed to closely resemble Cadillac’s Formula 1 livery. Featuring racing-inspired aesthetics that were developed in conjunction with the Federation Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA), the car presents a monochromatic presence that’s founded on striking Midnight Stone Frost paint. At the bottom of that matte finish, carbon fiber lower bodywork is traced by a Switchblade Silver pinstripe. At the corners of the car, Carbon Flash wheels lap Harbor Gray Metallic brake calipers, and Gloss Black badging provides a nice finishing touch.

More Power!

The CT5-V Blackwing was already a world-class sports sedan, but with this release, Cadillac has decided to turn the power up even more. The F1 Collector Series features a 6.2L supercharged LT4 that twists 685 horsepower into 673 lb./ft. of torque, making it the most powerful Blackwing ever produced. The new power comes courtesy of an upgraded supercharger that was developed with help from GM Motorsports. Additionally, all 26 F1 Collector Series cars will be equipped with 6-speed manual transmissions and the Precision Package, making them the ultimate expression of Blackwing performance.

Endorsed By F1

Naturally, the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing F1 Collector Series features a bevy of F1 branding. The car’s front doors incorporate stamped F1 logos that employ a new stamping technique. Its carbon fiber rockers feature FIA logos, and there are both F1 and FIA logos on the rear spoiler.

Between the doors, Cadillac F1 sill plates complement embossed F1 headrests. There’s a cool F1 logo under the clearcoat on the car’s carbon fiber center console. The shifter for the mandatory 6-speed includes a 3D-printed F1 logo medallion. GM Motorsports left their mark of excellence by creating CNC-machined, F1-themed supercharger covers for every car, with those covers also featuring laser-etched FIA logos. Naturally, both F1 and FIA logos can be found on the car’s serialized builder’s badges.

The Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing F1 Collector Series is Cadillac making it clear they’re not just showing up to F1, they’re bringing the whole corporation with them. Think about it: the brand just dropped a 685-horsepower, manual, supercharged sedan with Formula 1 branding baked into every surface. That’s not playing it safe, that’s planting the flag!
