Anyone that has been around late-model Corvettes likely already knows the name, and the potential of John Caravaggio. Making a name for himself through various iterations of the C5 Corvette platform and beyond, Caravaggio Corvettes have now turned their keen eye to the latest Corvette, the eighth generation of GM’s halo car. But, instead of John wielding the artist’s brush, he’s offering the opportunity to come alongside 30 of his luckiest customers and with their input, design a one-off C8 Corvette using the complete Caravaggio palette.

Called the Unica Series 1, the basis of the build revolves around a complete, Euro-styled carbon fiber body for both the Corvette Stingray and Z06 variants. Only 30 of the hand-built cars will be offered, each one being serialized and documented for future collectability. In the spirit and tradition of the world’s greatest coachbuilders, each car will be a direct representation of the customer’s design and style. No two cars will be alike. More than just a pretty face, Caravaggio also offers the option to upgrade the car’s performance with a supercharger, Brembo brakes, stylish wheel options, and engine tuning.
Customers can choose from an unlimited scope of interior and exterior options including exquisite fabrics, leathers, carbons, colors, and finishes. Options for the inside of the Caravaggio Unica Series 1 C8 Corvette include a full, handcrafted leather interior featuring bold, custom color statements for both the soft surfaces used throughout the interior as well as the stitching that holds it all together. Customers can also opt for a tasteful blend of carbon and Alcantara accents, as well as striping or badging which mirrors the design used on the exterior of the car.

On the outside, the customer can choose from almost any color in the world, limited only by the client’s imagination and the paint’s availability from the manufacturer. Custom colors, stripes, and even a completely exposed carbon fiber body are available to those with the moxie to make it happen. Although, if you’re jonesin’ for the full-fiber exterior, you’d better hurry, because only five will be built sans any pigmentation.

Even if you’re not one of the five most exclusive of the exclusive, that full carbon fiber body drops the overall weight of the vehicle by approximately 40 pounds. Of course, as you can expect, your wallet will be a bit lighter as well. MSRP for the Unica Series 1 Caravaggio C8 Corvette starts at $110,000 (USD), not including the cost of the Corvette Stingray or Z06 Corvette. Even so, the line has already begun forming and each Caravaggio Corvette Unica Series 1 C8 Corvette will be custom designed, built, tested, and documented at the company’s facility in Concord, Ontario, Canada. Each car will wear special badges that proudly identify it as a Caravaggio Unica Series 1 Corvette. If you’re one of those early adopters wondering how to bring a little bling back to your Stingray in light of the new Z06, Caravaggio’s Unica Series 1 option would make your Corvette stand out in any crowd.
