The internet is full of interesting stories and this one is sitting right in the middle of the mix. A call-out has been issued by Tony Lukezic, also known as Norcal_ss, and he had the following statement that was posted on instagram on Sunday.
“Since @hennesseyperformance won’t stand up and race me, this call-out goes to the owners of any Hennessey 850 horsepower package owners.”
Basically, Tony wants to see how the Hennessey HPE800 stacks up to his similarly-built Escalade. His question is, after spending the hefty $55,000 price tag for the 416 cubic-inch build and a 2.9-liter Whipple combination, why wouldn’t you want to see how it runs verses a bolt-on Escalade? Tony is specifically looking for a 2015-and up Escalade with the HPE800 package to race — no nitrous, no turbos, just the Hennessey Performance version. Lukezic stated that that his is running basically the same setup on 10-pounds of boost but has 26-inch wheels instead of the factory units and two-wheel drive.
The call-out is for $2,500 to the owner of the HENNESSEY 850HP package, win or lose. If you don’t care about the money, Tony will be more than happy to donate it to a charity and make this event for a good cause.
