You’ve heard of DIXXON Flannel Co., right? The lifestyle apparel brand that’s woven into the fabric of everything cool, from cars and motorcycles to punk rock and heavy metal. Well, if you’re legit enough to know about DIXXON, you’ve probably heard of Arizona Custom Car Design and Granatelli Motorsports.

Known for high-end classics and customs that feature astute attention to detail and extreme metal shaping, Arizona Custom Car Design transforms classic vehicles into unique, highly personalized automotive creations. And of course, the almost 80-year legacy of Granatelli Motor Sports needs no introduction. Operating out of a 42,000-square-foot facility in California, Granatelli is at the forefront of using modern performance technology to transform classic American vehicles into contemporary expressions of horsepower, craftsmanship, and individuality.

For SEMA 2026, DIXXON, Granatelli, and Arizona Custom Car Design have teamed up to introduce not one, but two awesome Chevys!

“Chasing Gold” In Fabulous Las Vegas

A 1973 Chevy C10 commissioned by DIXXON founder Danny Dreyer, “Chasing Gold” is all about street performance. The truck is powered by 427 cubic inches of Ochs Performance LS that’s paired with a 2.9-liter Whipple supercharger. A Bowler 4L80E 4-speed joins a Currie 9-inch rearend at the center of a full GSI Machine and Fabrication chassis. Everything rolls on ornate Variant wheels, which spin in front of big Baer brakes.

Of course, what would a nice set of wheels be without a tight profile? For that, Arizona Custom Car Design applied its excellent fabrication skills to Auto Metal Direct sheet metal and sealed it under custom metallic mint paint that, developed with help from Kolor Koalition, features retro brown and white accents. But that’s not all! Those accents are, well, accented with traditional gold leaf, both red and black outlining stripes, and acres of factory trim that has been carefully dipped in real gold.

That gold flows seamlessly into the truck’s custom cockpit, where premium Apex Leather frames legit DIXXON flannel that’s the same pattern as shirts the company plans to release to celebrate the builds. In addition to full bucket seats, which are split by a full-length console, interior amenities include clean Dakota Digital telemetry, Vintage Air conditioning, and rowdy Rockford Fosgate audio.

The “Sweet Emotion” Of Classics

A 1973 Chevy K5 Blazer commissioned by Allison Dreyer, Danny’s wife, “Sweet Emotion” brings the heat with an Ochs Performance Stage 2 LS3 that features a Granatelli Motorsports ZILLA intake manifold. As with the “Chasing Gold” C10, forward motivation is provided by a Bowler 4L80E 4-speed and a Currie 9-inch rearend. Those proven drivetrain components ride a full Roadster Shop chassis that’s finished with requisite Baer brakes and stylish, DIXXON-branded Variant Wheels.

PIC 1: Even the Blazer’s hitch is gold. PIC 2: The paint, developed with Kolor Koalition, stacks metallic purple pigment around white centers that feature light purple pearl and ghosted DIXXON logos. PIC 3: The K5 was built for Danny’s wife, Allison.

Naturally, the Blazer’s Auto Metal Direct sheet metal has been thoroughly massaged by Arizona Custom Car Design. The paintwork, another awesome collaboration with Kolor Koalition, stacks metallic purple pigment around white centers that feature light purple pearl and ghosted DIXXON logos. Gold-dipped trim looks right at home tracing the truck’s square body creases, from the rear bumper all the way up to the “Hers” grille bowtie.

Between the doors, passengers ride in style thanks to clean Apex Leather that, custom-stitched by Ciadella Interiors, frames flannel from the “Sweet Emotion” shirts the company plans to release. A white roll bar keeps the family safe, and comfort and convenience equipment includes full Dakota Digital telemetry, crisp Rockford Fosgate audio, and cool Vintage Air conditioning.

His Or Hers?: A Friendly Competition

Of course, what’s the fun of debuting two awesome custom trucks at SEMA without a little friendly competition? SEMA attendees will have the opportunity to pick their favorite build in a good old-fashioned his-versus-hers showdown between Team “Chasing Gold” and Team “Sweet Emotion”. Voting is as simple as scanning the QR codes displayed at the booth, and everyone who participates will be entered for a chance to win $500 from DIXXON Flannel Co.

As previously mentioned, both builds will have their own DIXXON flannels available for purchase beginning November 1st through the company’s website. So, whether you’re pulling for “Chasing Gold” or “Sweet Emotion”, you can represent your favorite build in style.

Will the C10 take home the bragging rights, or will the K5 steal the show? Either way, it’s going to be fun watching this husband-and-wife rivalry play out on the SEMA floor!
