MSD has released a plug-wire application for the Gen-V LT1/LT4 engine family. The wires (PNs 33823 and 33829) have a number of features inclduing a 10.5-inch overall end-to-end length, an 8.5-mm spiral-core super conductor wire, multi-angle boots and optimum low-resistance noise suppression.
Available in red or black, the wires also have snap-lock plug grips, separate crimp tabs for the conductor and sleeve, 8.5-mm jackets that protect against high heat and resist tears, extra heavy-duty glass braids, high-dielectric insulators, ferro-magnetic impregnated center cores and helically-wound copper-alloy conductors.
Car applications include the the 2014-2016 Corvette 6.2-liter LT1 and Corvette Z06 6.2-liter supercharged LT4 as well as the 2016 Camaro LT1. The wires will also fit the LT4 in the 2016 Cadillac CTS-V.
Numerous Chevy, GMC and Cadillac (Escalade) truck applications are also covered and that includes 6.2-, 5.3- and 4.3- liter engines.
