Crumpled like a can and deposited in a Florida scrapyard, this 2005 coupe has something interesting going on when viewed from the correct angle. You all remember Transformers, don’t you? How could you not–if the joint cartoon produced by Hasbro and Takara Tomy didn’t do it for you, then Michael Bay and Shia LeBeouf cemented it in the public consciousness with cheesy dialogue, numerous explosions, and copious amounts of CGI.
Pretty soon, however, people were fawning all over the idea of having their cars actually be Transformers. And judging by the picture taken of the tilting passenger front quarter panel, we may have actually found one through Insurance Auto Auctions (IAA)!
All kidding aside, though, this 2005 Vette is looking a little worse for wear post-crash. The angle of impact and its severity really tilt our suspicions toward blaming the driver on this case, but the circumstances surrounding the collision are all but out in the open.
Whatever it was, something large and heavy struck the driver front side of the C6. Seeing as primary damage was attributed to a rollover that caved in the roof, we can assume that the car did a flip in midair and landed upside down, likely skidding a few feet before coming to a stop.
Shortened up and missing some crucial components, it’s fair to say this Corvette has reached the end of the line and is ready to get parted out, starting with the LS2. How much do you think can be salvaged from the car? Let us know in the comments section below.
