If you want to have a truly unique car, you have to push the limits of what has been done before, and in this thread on Camaro5, member “Hennesseyrgv” shows off the progress pictures of his Hennessey HPE 650 Camaro that has gone under the knife for a little cosmetic plastic surgery to have its hips widened just a bit for a wide body look.

Not wanting to use the currently available kits designed for the 5th Gen, Hennesseyrgv chose to go a different route, by cutting off his stock fenders and grafting in steel sheet metal to push the fenders out, with the intention of covering almost the entire back end of the car with sheets of 100% carbon fiber. After an obscene amount of work, the Hennessey is now reportedly just over 2.5 inches wider on each side, and will be able to fit some massive 22 x 12 custom wheels. While they were cutting things up, the Hennessey also got a custom rear fascia with dual center cutouts for the exhaust, which required cutting into the bumper reinforcement and even the trunk floor. To haul down the HPE650’s 650 supercharged horsepower a Brembo big brake kit was also added to the car.

Love it or hate it, you have to admit that it takes some stones to willing cut the quarter panels off of your brand new Camaro, let alone a Hennessey.
