Video: Dangerous Donut Filming Almost Ends Badly… Again

Is there some kind of insane fad out there now where people try to see just how close they can get to a car throwing donuts without getting hit, and we just aren’t aware of it yet? Lately we seem to becoming across a lot of videos on YouTube that show folks getting way too-close-for-comfort to film their buddies throwing wild donuts, and this video is yet another fine example of what we are talking about.

In the video we see a red 4th Gen SS tossing its flat fenders around a business complex somewhere in Oakland (according to the video). The cameraman inches in closer and closer to the car for better shots, and it’s all fun and games until the 0:39 mark, when the cameraman literally almost catches a shiny red rear bumper to the face. We were pretty sure for a second that he had been hit, until the cameraman amazingly stands up, and goes in for another shot. Oddly enough it actually takes a second time of almost being blasted by a rear quarter panel before the cameraman’s survival instincts finally kick in and he starts to really make an effort to get away from the spinning car.

Luckily no one gets injured, but it makes us wonder – just how many videos out there like this do end badly, and they just never make their way to YouTube?
