The G8 world is about to be on notice with the release of this video. Daniel Linnett, owner of LSX Breathers is just about to wrap up the build on his killer LSX-powered Pontiac G8. The monster has already been dyno-tuned and is ready to head to the track for some testing in both eighth- and quarter-mile configurations.
We expect the G8 quarter-mile record to fall even though it’s currently an elapsed-time of 8.90. Why are we so confident about this? Linnett’s G8 has all of the right parts to obliterate the current record and we know what the horsepower numbers are. While Daniel asked us not to post the peak numbers, he did allow us to share the “low boost” power numbers. At 16 psi, the LSX mill produced an impressive 1,258 horsepower to the wheels!
The power numbers from the 427 at high boost are in fact ridiculous, but we will keep those mum for now.
Then heart of the G8 consists of an LSX 427 block complete with a solid roller camshaft, Jesel valvetrain, and a Mast Motorsports top end. Billet Atomizer injectors control the fueling and the drink of choice for the four-door is methanol, which is typically used in race-only applications.. No Corners Cut Fabrication handled all of the piping for the huge 91mm Gen 2 Pro Mod Precision Turbo as well as the custom radiator and coolant tank.

In fact it has been under construction since 2015. The drivetrain consists of an FTI Performance Turbo 400 transmission backed by a G-Force Engineering nine-inch rear-end.
If don’t believe how serious this four-door is, be sure and watch the video as this G8 tries to unearth the dyno rollers while belching out huge flames after the pull. It will most certainly be something to contend with both on and off the street. We’ll be keeping an eye on this build and will keep you posted as the records fall.
