1,000 HP Yenko Corvette Now Available from Chevrolet Dealers

The Yenko nameplate has a great history of making high-performance cars into hyper-performing cars. Back in the day, they would stuff a huge 427 under the hood and infuse upwards of 500 horsepower into the car’s performance envelope.

But, what if the typical high-performance car already has 600-700 horsepower? The folks at Specialty Vehicle Engineering (previously SLP) have carried on the tradition of previous Yenko offerings and upped the power quotient significantly. Building upon the solid platform provided by GM, they incorporate go-fast technology such as superchargers and upgraded drivetrains.

Thanks to Specialty Vehicle Engineering’s adding a supercharger and updates to the LT1’s internals, 1,000 horsepower is now streetable super-car power!

Their latest offering is the 2019 YENKO/SC Stage II Corvette, powered by a custom built 1,000HP 416 C.I.D. (6.8L) supercharged LT-1-based engine. Only 25 of these Limited Edition YENKO/SC® Stage II cars will be built, and all will be based off the 2019 Corvette Grand Sport (Coupe and Convertible) model. The Z07 Ceramic Brake option from GM is recommended on all Stage II cars and includes Magnetic Ride Control, performance calibrated stabilizer bars, limited slip differential, dry sump oil system, 7-speed manual transmission with active rev match or 8-speed paddle-shift automatic with specific performance calibration, wider rear fenders and many more Z06 performance options.

The YENKO/SC package comes with plenty of badging both inside and out to let everyone know the beast that resides within. The 1,000HP Stage II will all wear their own serial numbers and have 1,000 horsepower badges affixed in the appropriate areas.
