It is no secret that our friends at Barn Finds always come across something special, and today is no exception. Just when you think there could not possibly be any others showing up, here for grabs on eBay is a 1954 Corvette C1 in great restorative condition. It’s an automatic convertible with white exterior and red interior. Only 3,640 were ever manufactured, so coming across one in this condition is quite a find.
As advertised, the owner states, “This car is fresh out of long-term storage. It has been stored since the early 1970s with the keystone mags featuring the J.C. Penney white walls.” Adding to its value is the original 235 “Blue Flame” inline-six cylinder engine, and a 241 head in place with the correct intake and exhaust manifolds.
The frame looks solid and shows no rot or soft spots. The original gauges and clock are included, along with original chrome door handles, and stainless steel sides are stored in the trunk.
This fantastic C1 is parked in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The bidding is currently at $23,100 and the reserve was not met at the time of press. Early Corvettes are in high-demand these days, but according to eBay, you still have five days until the end of auction to win this piece of history.
We at Corvette Online are always on the lookout for special projects. If you are the lucky winner that will restore this beauty to its original grandeur, give us a call. We would certainly like to follow the restoration process on this exceptional C1 and, as they say on eBay, “Happy Bidding!”
