Thanks to our friends at BarnFinds, we are able to scope out this C3 1969 Corvette on eBay. Apparently the car has been hidden away in an Indiana garage since 1988, and has not seen the light of day for over twenty seven years. As you can see, this Vette is covered in a thick layer of dust and the car has been severely neglected. We are unsure as to why the owner was unable to maintain the vehicle, but they are finally ready to part ways. The bidding has commenced at $20,000.
The C3 Corvette was modeled after the Mako Shark II concept resulting in the lower half of the car taking on its appearance, but with softer contours. The Chevrolet Corvette (C3) was produced by General Motors from 1968 through 1982.
With 31,441 original miles on the clock, this sweet find comes equipped with the Chevy big block power of the day, sporting the 390 hp the 427 cubic inch V8 mated to an automatic gearbox. This car also looks to be sporting original wheel covers and side pipes.
The exterior appears to be dressed in white beneath the thick layer of dust, and there appears to be some visible damage. The interior does not look much better, as the cabin also appears to be in need of some refurbishing and replacement. Ultimately, the car is beyond a good cleaning and will probably need a full restoration.
Bidding could get interesting, as a unique find of this nature often draws out the most die-hard of enthusiasts equipped with deep pockets. With deep pockets at your disposal what would you pay for such a find?
