With the 2013 SEMA show a little more than a week away, aftermarket companies and automakers are rushing to get their custom cars and designs out in the public sphere. Back in September Forgiato Wheels released a sketch of their upcoming 2014 Corvette with an all-new widebody kit, and now they’ve put out the first images of the almost-finished product.
Corvetteblogger got their hands on this trio of build pics of the widebody Stingray, and we like what we see. What we’ve got here is one big and wide 2014 Corvette C7 wearing some seriously heinous wheels. While details remain scarce, we are definitely looking forward to seeing this unique ride at SEMA.
With Forgiato primarily being a wheel company, we’re certainly expecting the rims to take center stage on this all-new widebody Corvette. But that doesn’t mean Forgiato doesn’t have other modifications planned, and while the exact specs of the widebody kit remain under wraps, it certainly looks like they’ve given the C7 Corvette some extra girth.
So far the progress pics seem to indicate not just big fender flares, but some massive wheels as well. Forgiato’s take on the 2014 Corvette is going to be all about the bling, yo, aimed at customers who drive a Corvette as a status symbol rather than a sports car. Not that there’s anything wrong with that; to each their own, as we say, and we’re sure plenty of people are drooling over what they see here. What’s your opinion?
