Hedman Releases LS Header Kits For The ’91-96 GM B-body

Gearheads have been performing LS swaps into older cars for about as long as the C5 Corvette has been around. So it should come to no shock to anyone that Hedman Hedders would release kits for the LS-swapped ’91-96 GM B-body cars (Caprice, Impala SS, et al.). It makes sense since the factory small-block power, rear wheel drive and body on frame construction of those cars have made them a popular choice for hot rodders.

Hedman, with the help of LS-swap specialists BRP Hot Rods, was able to develop these new headers into three different configurations in order to clear the housings of the most popular transmissions commonly found in these cars; T-56 (PN# HD03826), 4L60E/65E (PN# HD03827), and 4L80E (PN# HD03829). They come complete with all of the necessary hardware needed for installation including frame and engine mounts, the transmission mount and crossmember, grade-8 bolts and urethane bushings.

These components help Hedman guarantee a secure and solid installation into your B-body and the included crossmember will work for all of the aforementioned gearboxes. The frame and engine mounts included in these kits are rebuildable, and are manufactured using 1/4-inch cold-steel plating. The metal engine and transmission mount pieces are 007 silver powered coated to help maintain a clean, long-lasting appearance.

The headers themselves have been designed to maintain the factory recommended 3-5 degree pinion angle, and they will work with an OEM oil pan, although the pan needed will vary depending upon your application. Hedman and BRP Hot Rods have both invested a lot of effort to produce this high-quality header kit, and have gone through great lengths to ensure the customer has everything needed to complete a clean install. A lifetime warranty is also part of the deal. Considering everything that’s included in the package, we would consider these a bargain. You can order the kit you need for your car today through Pace Performance.
