Kooks Introduces Super Street Headers For C8 Corvette

The all-new, mid-engine C8 Corvette brings a lot of performance for the price. Everyone is asking themselves how much more performance can be found by upgrading to performance parts? With moving the engine rearward in the vehicle, finding solutions to such questions requires a little more work than simply updating a previous offering by many aftermarket suppliers.

Performance header powerhouse, Kooks, is addressing the exhausting work of finding performance through a better flowing exhaust system and has introduced their all-new Super Street headers for the C8 Corvette. The 304-grade stainless steel Super Street headers (PN 21801400) are designed to be used with an OEM catalytic converters or Kooks’ Ultra-GREEN OEM connection pipes.

The Kooks headers are built to bolt-in to the factory fitment or they can be added with Kooks' Ultra-GREEN catted connectors for even more performance.

The hand-crafted headers include 3/8″-thick flanges, 1-7/8″ equal-length primaries; and Kooks’ patented scavenging spikes and one-piece collectors. The outlet size of the Super Street headers features three bolt flanges that are 3/8″-thick, allowing for a direct bolt-on installation to the OEM catalytic converters or Ultra-GREEN connection pipes.

The all-new design of the C8 Corvette required the aftermarket to re-engineer components to fit the new mid-engine platform. Kooks is the first company to bring a long-tube header to market as an upgrade to the new supercar.

After base-lining a Z51-equipped test vehicle, the Kooks team bolted on a set of Super Street headers and Ultra-GREEN OEM connection pipes. The Kooks C8 Super Street headers and connection pipes have been dyno tested and displayed true performance improvements, giving an increase of 20-plus horsepower and 26-plus lb-ft of torque on the stock tune with no check engine light.

The headers and connection pipes are available now for pre-order, with an official launch expected in early June.
