There are a few names that quickly come to mind when thinking about high-performance Corvettes. Lingenfelter Performance Engineering (LPE) and CORSA Performance are two of those names and have long been dominant forces in the Corvette world. These two powerhouses of performance upgrades have continued to lead the industry with an unparalleled commitment to program development with the latest Corvette offerings. As part of that commitment, LPE is excited to offer the new CORSA exhaust systems for the 2023 Chevrolet C8 Z06 Corvette. In fact, LPE is offering for a limited time a savings of $348 on the new CORSA exhaust systems, and the first ten customers who schedule their installation at a Lingenfelter build center during October will have their exhaust system installed at no charge.
There are two exhaust systems currently available through LPE. Both of the CORSA exhaust systems are a 3-inch cat-back design constructed of 304 stainless steel. They feature braided stainless flex couplers, C8-Spec serviceable cast valve assemblies, wiring harness extensions, solid hangers, and mufflers that have been tuned to the C8 Z06 to kill annoying drone noises while giving the car’s 5.5-liter flat-plane engine a more exotic tone.
The C8 Z06 cat-back system can be had with or without mufflers. The Track Series Muffler Delete system (Part Number: CP-21113) offers a 7.14-percent increase in flow while dropping 31 pounds compared to the factory exhaust system. It also features CORSA’s new resonated sound tube, designed to quiet the exhaust system in various driving modes to soften the harshest drone frequencies.
The Dual Rear Exit NPP system (Part Number: 21111) includes CORSA’s custom-tuned C8 Z06 stainless steel mufflers that induce exotic exhaust notes while providing a no-drone driving experience. This system offers a 14-pound weight savings while increasing flow by 2.39 percent over the factory system. Additionally, the Dual Rear Exit NPP cat-back exhaust has been shown in dyno-testing to gain 12 horsepower and 13 lb-ft of torque.
Both CORSA exhaust systems retain the use of the factory tips, have a lifetime warranty on the exhaust (five years on the valves), and are made here in the United States. Neither system will cause a CEL after a valve-relearn sequence, and the Dual Rear Exit NPP system perfectly integrates the factory actuators, allowing the driver to maintain full control of all driving modes. The C8 Z06 is a beast of a car from the factory, and with help from LPE and CORSA, you can increase performance and make it roar.
