We’re seeing more C8s on the road and at car shows. It goes without saying folks are now looking for ways to get more performance from their mid-engine Corvettes and attract more eyes from the show judges. The Performance Design Carbon pTR intake manifold from Lingenfelter Performance Engineering is designed to do both things equally well.

After a year of intense development, testing, and validation, the Performance Design Carbon pTR intake manifold for C8 LT2 Corvettes is ready for the street or track and available exclusively through Lingenfelter Performance Engineering. The Performance Design Carbon pTR intake manifold produces an additional 25 rear-wheel horsepower on average when used with the optional Lingenfelter 95mm throttle body.

The intake itself is comprised of a five-layer carbon fiber upper plenum and a durable, heat-resistant glass-reinforced nylon lower designed within a tunnel-ram architecture. The intake’s lightweight, glass-filled lower helps resist heat-soak while the carbon fiber upper looks great atop the C8 Corvette’s LT2 engine. The entire intake is designed to complement the engine compartment on coupe C8 Corvettes only. Will not fit convertible C8 Corvettes.

Additional benefits of the Performance Design Carbon pTR intake are the provision for port injection to supplement additional fueling for boosted applications. There are also optional fuel rails available to aid in fueling and add additional flair to the C8’s engine. The intake has been tested to over 50 psi, providing validated safety for those boosted applications and is available standard in Black, and can be special-ordered with red accents.

The Performance Design Carbon pTR intake manifold is so much more than simply a manifold. Due to the C8 Corvette’s design and advanced technology, the Performance Design Carbon pTR intake manifold also includes all the appropriate couplers, hoses, harnesses, gaskets, fasteners, and connectors specifically engineered to seamlessly tie the intake upgrade to the C8’s factory harness and fittings. The system allows for complete ECM integration using the factory connectors and there is no ECU calibration required.

Shown with optional Lingenfelter 95mm throttle body, the Performance Design Carbon pTR intake comes with all the necessary fittings and harnesses to mate with the factory C8 Corvette.
