New from Jet Performance – the Stage 2 Module for 2010-16 Camaro V8. It’s geared toward serious street performance and complements cold air intakes and free-flowing exhausts. See more details below.
Official Release:
Jet Performance Modules have been wringing more performance out of computer-controlled engines since—well, since computer-controlled engines have been around. The modules interface with a vehicle’s Engine Control Unit (ECU) to modify things like ignition timing, air/fuel ratio, transmission shift points, coolant temperature, and rev limits for more power and better overall performance.
How much of a performance increase differs from vehicle to vehicle, but Jet isn’t shy about posting dyno charts or track testing results. Average gains range from 10 to 50 horsepower without a negative impact on fuel economy. In some cases, gas mileage is improved over the stock tune.
Jet breaks its performance modules into two stages.
Stage 1 is for stock or slightly modified vehicles. These tunes are compatible with 89 octane fuel, making them a good choice for daily drivers, tow vehicles, and mild street machines.
Stage 2 is for serious street performance. An excellent complement for common performance modifications like a cold air intake and free-flowing exhaust, Stage 2 modules have aggressive programming including a modified timing curve and altered thermostat threshold. Jet recommends 91octane or better grades of gasoline.
Most Jet Performance Modules are 50-state legal—you can check CARB compliance at JetChip.com.
