Just when we thought the upcoming Barrett-Jackson Auction in Scottsdale, Arizona on January 23-31, 2016, couldn’t get any better, a custom 2014 Corvette Stingray Convertible joins the auction block.
This stunning Stingray stands its ground next to the assortment of one-of-a-kind classics set to grace the much-anticipated auction. It features a black interior, 6.2L eight-cylinder engine, and a six-speed automatic transmission.
Custom features include a wide body kit that widened the ‘Vette’s body by 12-inches in the rear and 8-inches in the front. According to Barrett-Jackson, “the body was refitted, making all the body gaps flawless.”
The body was then removed again and painted Custom Grabber Blue with six clear coats that were wet-sanded and buffed to a mirror laser-straight finish. Also, handmade carbon-fiber lower valances and a spoiler were installed.
The fully-loaded interior boasts all GM leather, racing power bucket seats, and carbon-fiber accents. The convertible top is custom black cloth and has power lift and retract.
The brake calipers and wheels boast the same Grabber Blue paint treatment. The factory engine is upgraded with an Edelbrock E-Force Stage 2 Supercharger, cold-air intake, a custom Magnaflow multimode performance exhaust system, and a custom tune program set to produce an astounding 700 horsepower.
The transmission is the performance GM six-speed automatic with the optional paddle-shifter for race shifting.
The one-of-a-kind wheels are 22-inch Forgiatos wrapped in Pirelli P Zero, Z-rated performance tires supporting the great GM performance suspension with changeable modes for different road conditions.
Completing the transformation is a handmade custom grille with LED custom running lights and, as if that was not enough, this very special Corvette (Lot #1283) only has 350 miles on the odometer.
Whether you have your heart set on a classic or a state-of-the-art Corvette, there is no doubt the Barrett-Jackson auction is the place to be.
