Putting history center stage, the 2026 Carlisle GM Nationals closed the books on another massive celebration of American horsepower. Thousands of General Motors (GM) fans flooded the Pennsylvania fairgrounds on June 19 and 20 to admire approximately 1,000 pristine vehicles across the National Parts Depot Showfield. Perfect upper-70-degree weather provided ideal conditions as spectators spent their weekend hunting rare parts, swapping mechanical advice, and celebrating decades of automotive performance.

Swarming the grounds early each morning, attendees immediately encountered massive displays organizers arranged specifically for the ’26 gathering. Organizers honored a century of engineering with a dedicated 100 Years of Pontiac feature, while neighboring sections highlighted classic C10 and square body trucks alongside historic GM Pace Cars. Permanent fan-favorite attractions returned stronger than before. The Novas at Carlisle section, the Solid Lifter Showroom, and the Third Generation Camaro and Firebird Nationals gave hardcore builders plenty of hardware to inspect. Fans kept their cameras busy walking through the T-body and X-body galleries.

Special guests kept the Wheels Center Stage hopping all weekend. Television personality Stacey David spent hours signing autographs for dedicated fans. GM Field Service Engineer Paul Koerner held court all weekend by leading detailed technical sessions and instructional seminars. Meanwhile, former GM Advanced Concept Center Director John Schinella engaged crowds during his daily question-and-answer stage sessions. He shared behind-the-scenes stories about designing the iconic Fiero, sketching the famous K.I.T.T. car from Knight Rider on a napkin, and finalizing the legendary A-Team van. Outside the presentation tent, drivers proved their machines worked hard by participating in the rolling exhaust contests, UMI Performance autocross sessions, a Real Street Shootout, and rolling burnout and donut contests.

With the 2026 show officially in the books, organizers are already preparing for next summer’s festivities. The 2027 gathering hits the calendar for June 25 and 26, promising a massive Oldsmobile feature and a 60th Anniversary F-body celebration at the fairgrounds. Builders planning to park their custom rides on the showfield can lock in their registration spots now through Carlisle Events. Enthusiasts have a full year to finish their custom garage builds before the starting gates open again.
