With less than 48 hours until the end of the auction, the guys at Barn Finds have yet another great find to share with us. As advertised on eBay, the vehicle was acquired from a vast collection of only the best muscle and sports cars. But, what makes this C4 so special?
First, this fantastic 1988 Corvette C4 is only 4,600 miles old, and it is in show condition throughout.
The C4 also features a rare 4-speed manual transmission, dual power leather seats, tinted roof panel, electronic climate control, rear window defogger, and a Z52 Handling Package, among other perks.
We agree with our friends at Barn Finds that it is not often we see a Corvette of this vintage in such mint condition. More often they are equipped with automatic transmissions and bear the scars of years of abuse.
The Corvette’s interior reflects its low mileage as well. Even the typical 1980’s GM hard surfaces are in great condition.
The digital dashboard is fully functional, and the factory head unit is still in place.
The engine bay seems to be fully stock.
The Z52 handling package, a benign version of the Z51 handling package, includes Bilstein shocks, a bigger front stabilizer bar and quick-ratio steering, an engine oil cooler, and a heavy-duty radiator.
Reviews applauded the changes made to the Z52 package chassis’ ability to get sideways without snap oversteer.
Many enthusiasts seem not to care for the spoiler, but it is not specified whether it is drilled into the trunk or not. The body appears to be in mint condition. At the time of press, the bid was at $11,600, and the reserve was yet to be met.
Overall, this may very well be one of the best C4s on the market!
