
Owning a survivor car can mean many different things, but when it comes to Bloomington Gold standards, owning a Survivor Certified Corvette is one of the most coveted accomplishments a classic Corvette owner can achieve.
That’s what makes the Survivor Collection of Corvettes set to hit the auction block at the Mecum Anaheim auction next month so special. These three Corvettes have all been given Bloomington Gold Survivor awards and could all be yours for an amazing addition to any collection.
Being sold by three different sellers, the pair of 1967 Corvettes and lone 1969 model have all been certified to Bloomington Gold Survivor standards, meaning that each car is at least 20 years old, can pass a 20-mile road test, remains over 50-percent original, unrestored, unaltered or un-refinished, and maintains finishes good enough to be used as color guides for other Corvette restoration projects.
To achieve Survivor status, each Corvette goes through a rigorous screening process and must possess the best of the best original features to be certified.
For three such Corvettes to cross the block at one auction is incredible.
Even more special than being one of just 116 L88 Corvettes made in 1969, this Corvette has been inducted into the Bloomington Gold Special Collection three times, achieved Bloomington Gold Survivor status, and was even inducted into the Bloomington Gold Hall of Fame – a task only accomplished by five other L88 Corvettes.
The three Survivor Collection cars would make amazing additions to any Corvette, Chevy or classic car collection.
