Swift Filters New DCT Filter For The C8 Stingray

C8 Stingray owners are rejoicing in recent years as more performance parts are being developed for their LT2-powered budget supercar. From high-quality headers and exhaust to HP Tuners finally cracking the ECU, enabling long-awaited custom tuning, owners can take Chevrolet’s potent flagship performance car further than they ever intended on the street or track. But like most performance modifications, the need to also upgrade lubrication and filtration to keep the drivetrain happy and alive is a must. Now you can keep your Tremec dual-clutch transaxle (DCT) happy with Swift Filters new DCT filter for the C8 Stingray.

A closer look at the billet aluminum end cap that is machined in house and then anodized black.

Instead of the OEM filter’s plastic body, the Swift Filters element utilizes anodized billet aluminum endcaps that are machined in house. The filter material is microglass that is supported by a stainless mesh on both the inside and the outside and housed inside a stainless body. Microglass is more efficient at filtering contaminants while providing a higher flow capacity and a lower pressure drop.

The Swift Filter’s new DCT filter also features a redesigned internal bypass valve that is more consistent than the OEM filter. GM states that the o-rings and the four housing bolts are not reusable, so Swift Filters will be selling the new filter with all the necessary high-temp o-rings and OEM hardware so you can service your Stingray yourself with everything you need.
