Rumors regarding the ZR1 have been spread across the internet for what seems like ages now– so, the recent flood of videos and spy shots have left us feeling like we hit the lotto. We’ve now had the chance to check out the body and to hear whatever motor is chillin’ under that hood.
It seems like Chevy has been spending quite a bit of time at the ‘Ring– the last few videos of the ZR1 have been accompanied by some ZL1 testing runs and, now, yet another video of the upcoming ‘Vette has surfaced. Sure, there’s been plenty, but this is the first time we’ve seen the ZR1 really testing hard, rather than just rolling around the track, giving us a better idea of how it performs.
We didn’t expect any different, but it looks pretty impressive. If anything’s for sure, though, it sounds and looks great– even with those goofy looking exhaust pipes.
But, in all this recent news, there’s one thing we haven’t heard much about since the initial spy shots: the convertible version. We came across some pictures a couple weeks back, but hadn’t heard or seen anything since– until today.
A couple more spy shots have erupted, just recently taken directly from General Motors’ Milford Proving Grounds, with the upcoming sports car rocking the smaller rear wing (of the two we’ve seen) and a fine-tuned roofline to make room for the new soft top. These shots don’t necessarily reveal anything astonishing, other than the fact that Chevy is definitely hard at work on a ZR1 convertible.
