Every September, thousands gather at Beech Bend Raceway in Bowling Green, Kentucky, drawn together by their one particular interest – GM’s LS engine family. Put on by Holley, the LS Fest for 2014 was bigger than ever, drawing more than 10,000 spectators and 500 competitors, who went head to head in drag, drift, autocross, engine swap, and car show categories.

Celebrating its fifth year, the LS Fest is a gathering dedicated to all sorts of LS-powered vehicles. You’ll see factory Chevy, Pontiac, Cadillac, and GMC vehicles well-represented, of course, but there are plenty of interesting swaps into other brands as well. Besides the obligatory Fox-body Mustangs, there are always plenty of Nissans, BMW’s, and other imported vehicles now sporting LS power, as well as literally dozens of classic musclecars that were once motivated by Gen I small block Chevys, now converted to the modern engine family.

In this brief video, an entire three day weekend of noise, smoke, speed, and fun is condensed into a few short minutes.
