Here’s a sure fire way to make friends with the neighbors! In this video from YouTube, we get to watch as the driver of a 4th Gen Trans Am does a little bit of what he calls “solidifying friendships.” While we’re not so sure about that (seems like it might be doing the exact opposite) as far as burnouts done in the middle of the driveway go, this is an outstanding example. With an equal amount of disregard for noise pollution laws and the tread on the rear tires, the Trans Am puts on a spectacular suburban smoke show that would be tough to rival.
The video is posted by one Trevor McCarthy, and we found out a few specifics on the car from his other YouTube videos. The engine is a 454ci LSx with an LS7 top end and a big 244/256 cam with a 110 LSA. That very serious roar you hear is translated through a set of Kooks headers with 2-inch primaries and a Borla Exhaust. The whole combo is built to run on some good ‘ole E85 American corn juice, hence the name “Corn-Popper” seems wildly appropriate. Check out more videos of the Corn-Popper here.
