With all the posts about Holdens on LSXMAG, you probably think we’re obsessed, which we are, but we become more infatuated with these cars every day. Thanks to Fullboost, we get to see a plethora of beautiful, fast Holdens on the daily, and we love seeing what the folks down under do to their cars.
Power now comes from an LQ9-based engine with 20 PSI of forced air coming from a monster Garrett GTX45R turbo, while a Turbo 400 transmission, TCE 3000 RPM converter, billet IRS rearend with 3.45:1 gears, and 275-width drag radial tires put the power to the ground. The engine benefits from a Lunati crankshaft, a custom Crow camshaft, AFR heads, Holley Hi-Ram intake manifold and throttle body, and it’s all tuned by Sass Automotive.
Unfortunately Andrew’s wagon wasn’t running its best in the video because of a blocked intercooler. With this setup, Andrew’s fastest time so far is 9.0 @ 156 MPH in the quarter. It’s pretty awesome to see a 4,290-pound wagon hauling ass down the strip, though! Hopefully we’ll see an update from Fullboost soon of Andrew’s wagon running in the 8’s.
