Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and when it comes to automobiles, there’s no shortage of opinions on just what is the best looking car out there. Some enthusiasts cast a wide net, and can go on and on about the many gorgeous designs they admire. Others are loyal to a single brand, design era, or model, and will go to great lengths to let their love be known.
Then there is that odd cross-section of enthusiasts for whom designs can mix and mingle into something…else, for lack of a better word. The Corvette C67 headlight conversion kit from ExoticVettes.com definitely falls into this niche, giving a mild front-end facelift to the previous generation of Chevy sports cars.
While it may look the part of a modern 2014 and newer Corvette from the front end, out back, you can clearly see the round tail lights that make this Corvette a real C6. It is, in fact, a 2008 model, sporting a supercharger, ported and polished heads for its LS2 V8, and about 600 horsepower at the wheels. All a pretty standard fare for a Corvette, save for the C7 headlight conversion. It certainly adds more dimension and depth to the car, if you are a C7 fan, that is.
The C6 is undoubtedly a “softer” looking car compared to the C7, with gentle lines that cascade down the body, compared to the hard angles of the C7. Right now this is the only C67 Corvette out there though a kit will soon be available for those wanting to make the upgrade. It’s bound to be a lot more affordable than paying full price for the full C7 Corvette, and for those who would rather straddle the middle ground between generations, it’s an alternative to just fitting in.
