We stumbled across this beast of a build on 1320video’s Youtube Channel. And before you said anything– no, its not just another second-gen with an LS plopped in. We like this car… A lot. Why, you ask? Because it was built for fun– and that’s it.
With all these show-and-shine attention seekers that fill the majority of today’s car scene, “junkyard” drag builds like this one can be somewhat… refreshing.
This monster, dubbed the “Junkyard Bugatti,” is rocking a 6.0-liter LSX V8 with four frickin’ turbochargers off Ecoboost vehicles (Yes, we said four)– every single part was taken directly from the junkyard. The owner even proudly points out some black intake piping explaining how it was salvaged off a trusty ol’ ShopVac. This thing sure lives up to its nickname.
1320 filmed this video at the Street Car Takeover event in Houston, Texas where the vehicle got plenty of attention thanks to its amazing sound and 11 second quarter mile. Watching this video almost guarantees you an amazing eargasm.
So you’re probably wondering… How much power is this thing pushing?! Well, we don’t know. And, allegedly, neither does the owner.
But, on the other hand, this build is living proof that you don’t have to be rich to build a racecar. Sure, many people opt for LS’ as a cheaper alternative to building their previous motor, but this guy is on another level– running 11 second quarter miles off a motor built completely from salvaged parts. If that’s not inspiration, we don’t know what is.
