We Build A 2024 Chevy Camaro LT1 Coupe For Under $45K

The Chevy Camaro’s days are numbered. We all know this and it’s an incendiary topic amongst Bow Tie fans. What’s an enthusiast to do? Step up and buy one before the car we all know and love fades into oblivion. The great thing about the 2024 Chevy Camaro is an LT1-powered coupe that, when shrewdly optioned, can hover around $45,000. This is an incredible buy for a 455 horsepower V8 and GM’s superlative Alpha chassis, the brainchild of wunderkind GM engineer Al Oppenheiser.

The Chevy Camaro has been on the road for over half a century, yet 2024 is the ninth and final model year of the sixth generation. It comes with some minor changes and updates, as well as some special editions that will leverage the car’s last year.

You can customize your own 2024 Camaro using the official configurator tool at the Chevrolet website. Choose from seven trim levels, from the base 1LT to the top-of-the-line ZL1, and two body styles, Coupe or Convertible. You can also select from three different engines, including a naturally aspirated V6, a naturally aspirated V8, or a supercharged V8.

The lineup of available trim levels for the 2024 Chevy Camaro includes seven options after Chevy axed the base 1LS trim level and deleted the turbocharged 2.0L I4. The remaining trim levels are 1LT, 2LT, 3LT, LT1, 1SS, 2SS, and ZL1. Sadly, the 1LE package is no longer available for 2024.

The pricing for the 2024 Camaro starts at $32,495 for the 1LT Coupe and goes up to $79,695 for the ZL1 Convertible. These prices include a destination freight charge of $1,595. You can also add various options and packages for extra cost, such as the Collector Edition Package or the Garage 56 Edition Package. These special editions offer exclusive exterior paint colors, such as Panther Black Metallic Tintcoat or Panther Matte Black, as well as other unique features.

The gas-powered Camaro will die after 2024, as GM shifts its focus to electric vehicles. However, there are rumors that the Camaro nameplate might return in the future as an electric sports car. This is horrific for us petrol guys but again, take this opportunity to create your own 2024 Camaro online and order one before it’s too late.

We built an LT1 Coupe with the 455hp V8, six-speed manual transmission, and a handful of options. This would be a hell of a street warrior and more than enough to dispose of 90 percent of the cars currently on public roads. If that isn’t enough for you, it’s the perfect stepping-off point for easy and abundant modifications. If you don’t like the color I chose or the options, go out and build your own, Chevy would love to sell you a new Camaro.

Chevy Camaro enthusiasts can spec the 2024 Chevy Camaro and explore various options and configurations using the official online tool at the Chevrolet website. Here’s how we built ours:
