There are never enough projects. So, we’re taking a C8 Corvette and transforming it into a track-day terror while maintaining its street manners. We want to build upon the already very capable C8 platform and increase its durability, braking, grip, handling, and straightaway power. The plan for our C8 is to perform the build in three phases once we’ve completed a few performance tests in stock form to give us a baseline. We will retest our Corvette after each phase to gauge performance improvements against the baseline.
Phase one will consist of some of the more common modifications C8 owners install and a few track-day safety items. In phase two, we will focus our attention on upgrading and maximizing the suspension and aero on our C8.
Lastly, after all the improvements to the rest of the car, phase three will see us raising the bar in the horsepower department so we can fully push the limits of the complete package. The goal is to end up with a car that can hold its own on the race track against exotics and other supercars while also being able to drive around on the street like the day it rolled off the assembly line.
