In an unlikely chariot of love, Corvette enthusiast Steve White chooses Victory Circle to propose to his sweetheart. On bended knee at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway at last week’s Bloomington Gold show, White officially became engaged to Melissa Justice.
No matter your opinion of flashy, big-production proposals, you have to admit that someone who puts that kind of
effort into asking a simple question is someone who really cares about the answer. A car wrangler for Chevrolet, and maintenance man for the GM heritage Collection, White wanted to create a special day for his lady love that would not soon be forgotten. They both share a passion for the Corvette and motorsports, so this seemed like the perfect location.
White borrowed a C7 Corvette to escort Melissa in one of the Gold Laps sessions that takes place at the annual Bloomington Gold Show. Lining up at the back of the pack after completing two laps around the world famous speedway, White headed down pit road towards the yard of bricks, stopping at Victory Circle where he offered his hand in marriage.
The couple had known each other for thirty years, but ignited their love only two years ago. It is unknown when the special day will take place, but one thing is for sure… a couple that plays together stays together!
