Mast Motorsports Merges With Endyn Cylinder Heads

Long known for its high-end, completely aftermarket race cylinder heads for various Honda engines, along with induction and port work for a variety of four-, six-, and eight-cylinder engine families, Energy Dynamics — better known as ENDYN — recently entered into a merger with LS engine powerhouse Mast Motorsports.

It might be surprising to hear that Mast Motorsports is getting involved with what is seen as a primarily “import” company, but Mast and ENDYNE have partnered up on projects in the past, most recent of which is ENDYN’s all-new Honda cylinder heads. Not to mention that ENDYN’s experience spans far more than Honda, with a resume including achievements in NHRA Pro Stock, NASCAR, IndyCar, and Australian V8 Supercars, to name a few.

I just love engines. Racing is what I’ve done my whole life; I want to win. It’s all or nothing, and that desire has grown more intense as I’ve grown older. – Larry Widmer

By combining ENDYN founder, Larry Widmer’s extensive race engine development experience with Mast Motorsports’ engineering and manufacturing capabilities, the combined force should be incredibly successful. To take full advantage of Widmer’s knowledge and experience, he will be heading up Mast’s Race Cylinder Head Services division, a newly formed component of Mast Motorsports.

ENDYN will continue to operate, just from Mast Motorsports all-new cylinder head research and development campus in Nacogdoches, Texas. Widmer brings a lot of race engine experience to Mast’s team, and it’s unknown what the future holds for the new partnership. Although, if the rumors of a multi-valve, overhead camshaft Corvette engine hold true, Widmer’s extensive experience with four-valve, DOHC cylinder heads might be exceptionally handy.

ENDYN founder, Larry Widmer, will continue ENDYN operations as well as head-up Mast Motorsports’ newly launched Race Cylinder Head Services division.
