One of the main reasons that many folks flock to Carlisle, Pennsylvania every year for the annual Corvettes at Carlisle event is to see the latest and greatest from Chevrolet and speak with the men and women that make the brand so great. The Corvettes at Carlisle event is celebrating its 40th year, and this year’s event will be held on August 25-27, 2022.
Meet The Team
This year, General Motors has an expansive list of GM personnel scheduled to be on hand all three days to answer questions and speak with enthusiasts during the event. They will be bringing roughly 25 C8 Corvettes in various trim levels and models, so your chances of seeing one of your personal favorites are highly anticipated. The latest generation of Corvettes will be parked within the GM display tent area and also scattered around the Carlisle fairgrounds. Attendees will have many opportunities to get up close and personal with the mid-engine supercar from Chevrolet.
In addition to the regular Corvette display tent area which will include many of the C8 Corvettes and the GM folks who make it so great, there will also be another separate display specifically for the 670 horsepower 2023 Corvette Z06! There will be staged walkarounds of the cars throughout the weekend to get attendees and enthusiasts properly introduced to the new car. This year’s GM displays are sure to please with opportunities to ogle over such special editions as the latest Z06 and the 70th Anniversary Edition Corvette!

This Year’s Special Corvettes
Among the thousands of Corvettes of every era that will be in attendance, enthusiasts can also participate in various seminars and club-specific meetings throughout the weekend. This year, the folks at Carlisle Events are celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the 1972 Corvette, where EVERY Corvette built that year is a star! There will also be a Chip’s Choice featuring the many Corvettes created by the world-famous Pratt & Miller speed merchants. Many clubs, including the National Council of Corvette Clubs (NCCC) and the National Corvette Restorer’s Society (NCRS), will have club-specific offerings such as the NCRS Gallery, which highlights some of the most beautifully restored or preserved Corvettes on the planet. The NCCC will also have its own Corvette judging to help sort out who will go home with the club’s coveted trophies.
Another aspect of Corvettes at Carlisle that draws the world toward this small town in Pennsylvania is the expansive swap meet area which contains about any part ever created for Corvettes or many of its GM siblings. Whether factory production or prototype, many parts filter to the surface for those willing to scour the tarps and dog-eared boxes for those nuggets of gold throughout the vast rows of swap meet area. There is also a myriad of vendors lined up along the midway for those seeking new or aftermarket components to restore, modify, or make their Corvettes more awesome!
Attendees can also get premium parking by signing up for the fun field or one of the clubs specific to their particular Corvette’s build. Online registration for the Fun Field is available through Sunday, August 21, with in-person registration options available throughout the event. In addition, spectator admission is $20 for adults, with kids 12 and under admitted FREE. Call 717-243-7855 to learn more or visit Corvettes at Carlisle online today.
