For Hennessey Performance (HPE), a lot is simply not enough. Since the company’s birth in ’91, HPE’s sole ambition has been “making fast cars faster” – and they’ve stuck to that. Having re-engineered more than a dozen late-models like the Camaros, Mustangs, and Corvettes, John Hennessey and his team have pushed the limits with each car they’ve worked with.

One of the latest (and greatest, in our opinion) from the garages of HPE is their C7 lineup, currently consisting of 11 different upgrade options ranging from 500-horsepower naturally aspirated setups to 1000-horse supercharged monsters.

As you might have guessed, each package contains the horsepower at the crank in the title (i.e., HPE650 designates a 650-horsepower motor). Therefore, the HPE1000-equipped Stingray you were just gawking at in the video has – you guessed it – 1000 ponies under the hood.

The HPE1000 package was introduced earlier in 2015, but HPE only recently put out this short teaser video – as if to make sure we’re all still drooling over it. And how could we not? What, with the custom forged internals, custom HPE camshaft, ported heads, and countless other enhancements that put this beast up to almost 850 horsepower and over 700 lb-ft of torque at the wheels.

Other than the above acceleration video and the dyno run below (which we threw in just in case you can’t get enough of that sound), we’ve not yet seen anything giving away top speeds, quarter-mile times, or anything of that nature on this kit. However, back in December, HPE broke the 200 mile-hour mark with their HPE600 package, so we can expect some serious results coming from its 1000-horsepower counterpart.
