This might be the best time in history to be a fan of the Corvette Stingray. Not only do you get incredible performance for only a fraction of what you would pay for a European sports car, but you also get one of the most aggressive body designs ever released by Chevrolet. But for some it’s just not enough.

2Q_800Take for instance this gorgeous Black C7 that recently sold with a list price of over $139,000! Put up for sale by Progressive Motorsports, the C7 features a unique body style that appears to be similar to the Forgiato wide-body kit.

Sure it gives the C7 an incredible look, but with a price tag of $139k? Obviously it worked, as the unique C7 wasn’t for sale for long, before a lucky buyer picked it up. Funny enough, the dealership now has an Arctic White C7 with a similar body kit listed on its site for $129,000.

6g_800Ordering a brand new 2014 3LT Stingray with every option you can imagine including the Z51 package will push the retail price north of $80-85k. So it begs the question, is the unique body kit worth the extra $50k?

Keep in mind, that underneath the unique exterior is the same 6.2L and 7-speed manual that you’ll find from the factory, along with many options available from the factory. If you are going to spend that type of money, why not just show a little patience and order the mighty Z06?

It sure appears as if the dealership has found a way to push the Corvette to a $130,000 price tag. But given the fact that beyond that pretty shell its a standard 3LT Corvette is it worth it?

We want to hear your opinion. Please leave us a comment below with your opinion of this unique C7.
